Welcome to Audubon Acupuncture & Herbs! We are proud to be diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases in southern Louisiana. We are located in New Orleans Mid City, inside the medical district.

There is no question why our TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Clinic has been honored for the quality of our patient care by many. Our relaxed atmosphere, experienced and knowledgeable doctors, friendly and professional staff, in-house herbal pharmacy, variety of treatment methods customized to individual preference and needs are just a few to mention.

Based on the principle that we are part of nature, health is established when harmony is achieved both within ourselves and in relation to the natural world. TCM seeks to determine the “root cause” of a condition and brings the body back into balance, supporting its innate ability to heal itself.

Our provider, Peter Yizhi Zhang LA.c is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (OMD) certified by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn this designation; he has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbology as defined by the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) profession. Oriental Medicine Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). ACAOM is the only accrediting entity recognized by the United States Department of Education as the authority for quality education and training in acupuncture and Oriental medicine.

Peter Yizhi Zhang has over 30 years of extensive Oriental Medicine experience and comes from a long lineage of combined Traditional Chinese and Western medicine which passed down from generation to generations. He has directed a number of TCM facilities and passionately helped tens of thousands of people. A considerable number of the cases he has treated are patients with chronic and sometimes disabling problems that have not been resolved by conventional medical care. For example, psoriasis, degenerative discs, pinched nerves, seizures, and anxiety are just a few of the illnesses he has treated, plus many more that the World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes the effectiveness of acupuncture.
